Martat –  Delicious photography in a new cookbook

Today October 10th Leivontakirja, the Book Of Baking by Martat, was published. The mouth-watering photography in the book is by Elvi Rista, a master of effortlessly beautiful food photos. Leivontakirja is a basic baking book suitable for every home. It gives new inspiration for experienced bakers and tips and advice to those who are not as confident with their baking skills as they would like to be. In the book, traditional baked goods get new choices for climate-friendly ingredients, and a vegetarian diet is strongly emphasised in the recipes.

The photographer’s personal favorite is the six-ingredient White Chocolate Cranberry Cheesecake found on page 25: ”I love everything baked, but I rarely have time to make multi-step baked goods from a recipe from scratch. This cake was quick and easy to make, and the balance between the rich sweet white chocolate cream cheese filling, the salty cookie base, and the tangy cranberries is perfect.”
